REPORTING

For any introduction you use three Chemintro reports in this sequence:

  • Data report
  • Introduction report
  • Memorandum of Understanding
  • Annual summary

Data report

Displays all source information used internally to calculate the introduction category. View this report to see it all at a glance. The data report is protected from view unless you have the Author role.

For an Application for Assessment, you not only need data and numerous study reports, you also need to manage that information very well.

Chemintro displays the process in the Pentane decafluoro methoxy trifluoroethyl data report. It is an example of an Assessed category for which Chemintro has generated:

  • Three checklist Notes automatically
    • Assessment dossier checklist Required items
    • Assessment dossier checklist If available items
    • Assessment dossier checklist Additional items
  • One Note for each item on the Required items checklist prefixed with the IUCLID6 item number.

Those Notes were generated for demonstration purposes and have not been edited. Their content consists only of the date they were created in response to a user selection in the Checklist creator field. More might be created for "If available" items if necessary prior to submitting an application for assessment.

Note also that each Note can be converted into a link with a URL to download whatever documentation is desired for the particular item.

Introduction report

Based on the Act, Rules and latest AICIS Guidelines the Chemintro introduction report reveals the correct introduction category for your chemical.

It also reveals the necessary answers to questions on the AICIS website declaration pages.

Memorandum of Understanding

This report is available for a chemical being introduced. It sets out the realities of business life under AICIS and specifies exactly which test results AICIS might ask for if they decide to audit a particular introduction.

Annual summary

The AICIS Annual Declaration is a tick-box process on the AICIS website. The Chemintro Annual summary lets you tick those boxes with complete confidence.

SAMPLE REPORTS

The Data report shows generated and retrieved data as well as data entered by the user.

Differences between reports for different introduction categories are shown in the right-hand columns.

Effort made by user Data report Introduction report

Listed -- CAS number, review the AICIS listing via a Chemintro generated link and select the appropriate listing type. 'Listed and no regulatory obligations or restrictions' in this case. Enter introduction volumes.

Chromic acid, barium salt data report

Chromic acid, barium salt introduction report

Interest only because it is already listed with AICIS

Exempted -- CAS number, review a number of yes/no questions, aqueous solubility, enter volumes to be introduced and maximum concentration at end use.

Dihydroxy propyl azanium chloride data report

Dihydroxy propyl azanium chloride introduction report

Used as guide for AICIS post introduction declaration (PID)

Exempted PLC -- Polymer of low concern. CAS number, review a number of yes/no questions, enter volumes to be introduced and maximum concentration at end use. More data is needed for polymers, typically including a Gel Permeation Chromatograph (GPC) test report for average molecular weights, composition, prescribed reactants and reactive groups, cationic density and other physical properties. In this case expert attention was required including drawing the molecular structure seen in the data report. The 2D structure shown alongside was automatically retrieved from cas.commonchemistry.org.

Polymer in resin solution 51/70 BuAc data report

Polymer in resin solution 51/70 BuAc introduction report

Used as guide for AICIS post introduction declaration (PID)

Reported -- CAS number, review a number of yes/no questions, enter BCF, log Kow and aqueous solubility, select H305, H315, H319 and H336 and enter volumes to be introduced and maximum concentration at end use.

Amyl ethyl ether data report

Amyl ethyl ether introduction report

Used as guide for AICIS pre-introduction report (PIR)

Assessed -- ie. to be assessed by AICIS -- CAS number, review a number of yes/no questions, including polyhalogenated organic, persistent, log Kow and aqueous solubility, select H413 from the SDS and enter volumes to be introduced and maximum concentration at end use. This determines the Assessed category.

Pentane decafluoro methoxy trifluoroethyl data report

AICIS will require a complete dossier for assessment purposes. See the required IUCLID6 item Notes

Pentane decafluoro methoxy trifluoroethyl introduction report

See assessment application link at foot of report

Annual summary -- No data entry required. All information comes from current introduction categorisations and current chemical volumes. It is automatically collected in this report.

When tagged Declaration submitted = 'Yes', that Summary does not change any further and a new Summary is commenced ready for the next end of AICIS year on 31 August.

Example annual summary report

Guide for the AICIS annual declaration due by 30 November each year

As can be seen in this example, all introduction categories are included. Top
